I Liked…• Easy to get into and fast-paced
• Yay for viking-inspired stories!
• A fun, entertaining read – I finished it in a single day
I Disliked…
• A bit predictable
• It’s your typical YA fantasy book; it has stereotypical characters and a plot that’s not particularly memorable
MY OVERALL RATING: ME LIKEY
My Final Thoughts:
While Warrior of the Wild does not introduce anything new or earth-shattering to the YA fantasy genre, it is a fun viking-inspired romp that offers easy entertainment.

I Liked…• Deftly beautiful writing style
• A creative and utterly fresh retelling that’s familiar yet new
• The intrigue! The deception! The unanswered questions!
I Disliked…
• The slow but deliberate pacing might not be for everyone
• Some of the italicized sections written from the Dark Queen’s perspective were a bit confusing
MY OVERALL RATING: ME LIKEY
My Final Thoughts:
The Guinevere Deception is a brilliant retelling that twists what readers think they know about King Arthur into something new and unique. Although the pacing might be too slow for some, I found it to be well-crafted and skillfully written.

Omg I did not see your previous sticky note reviews, this is the COOLEST thing ever! I am so excited to read The Guinevere Deception, it has all the potential to become one of my faves, since I love Arthurian legends! Great reviews!
OH those graphics are the coolest!! I read the Guinevere Deception and I really enjoyed it! I was fascinated by all the magic and the ~deception~ going around. I tend to not mind slow-paced books too much because what’s most important to me is that the characters intrigue me – if they do, even if the book is slow, I will happily follow through the pages.
I’ve heard good things about The Guinevere Deception, so I’m looking forward to hopefully reading it this year!! I really haven’t read enough YA to know a basic, stereotypical plot from the genre, so I guess I could give Warrior of the Wild a go and enjoy it :’)
I love your sticky note reviews, that’s such a cute idea!
Great reviews Kat! I’ve been getting more excited aobut Guinevere and I do want to give tricia levenseller another try :)
Loved TGD! I’m excited to tackle Warrior! I loved Levenseller’s other books, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed it lives up to my expectations!
I read The Guinevere Deception and I absolutely loved it! I knew what to expect in terms of I know the old tale, but yet it had many great twists I didn’t necessarily see coming. Cannot wait for the sequel!
